Christ the Savious Cathedral is the main cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church today and the biggest Orthodox church in the world. Standing tall more than a 100 meter above the River Moscow, this magnificent cathedral has become an attraction on its own right. The history behind Christ the Saviour Cathedral is dramatic, suffice it to mention that the building you see today is a replica of the original cathedral destroyed by the Russian Government.

Christ the Saviour Cathedral is definitely worth a visit with a tour that will explain the Russian Orthdox Church and its differences with the Roman Catholic Church, and give you insights into wall paintings and architecture and, or course, the history of the cathedral.
