The State History Museum was built in the late 19th century through the efforts of Emperors Alexander II and his son Alexander III. Desinged in the fancy Russian Revival style, this museum has gorgeous palatial interiors, with high vaulted ceilings and gilded frescoes. Moreover, historical halls of the first floor reacreate decor and paintings of the architectural monuments of the relevant epoch so that you can immerse youself in that period of Russian history.

Opening hours of the State Historical Museum: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday - from 10:00 to 18:00, Thursday, Friday, Saturday - from 10:00 to 21:00, closed every first Tuesday of a month. Admission closes one hour before the closing time.
